Frequently asked
Answers Before Printing Begins
We are a children’s book printing solutions partner — not a factory, and not a traditional trading company. We work with a curated network of vetted, certified partner factories in China and manage your entire project from prepress to delivery. This gives you factory-direct pricing plus professional project management, without the risks and hassles of dealing with a factory directly. Think of us as your dedicated print project manager on the ground in China.
Because managing a printing project in China involves much more than just placing an order. You would need to handle language barriers, time zone differences, file preparation, color management, quality inspections, production delays, and shipping logistics.
Our team reviews every file before production, monitors progress on the factory floor, inspects finished books before shipment, and arranges door-to-door delivery. If something goes wrong, we fix it — you don’t have to chase the factory yourself.
Sample availability is assessed based on stock availability and your expected order quantity. We are glad to provide free stock samples for serious inquiries, with you covering the shipping cost.
For custom samples, a sample fee applies, which is fully credited toward your bulk order once it reaches our minimum order quantity.
Please note that for very small trial orders, we may not be able to offer free physical samples; in such cases, we can provide digital proofs or discuss a cost-effective sampling option. We will always be transparent about sample costs before you commit.
Our partner factories hold a comprehensive portfolio including ISO9001, BSCI, SMETA, and FSC. Products are produced to meet CPSIA (USA), ASTM F963, and EN71 (Europe) standards. We can provide compliance documentation and arrange third-party testing upon request. If your retailer requires specific certifications, please let us know during the quoting stage.
Sampling typically takes 2–7 working days depending on whether you need a digital proof or a physical dummy. Mass production generally runs 15–30 working days after sample approval, based on quantity and complexity.
For shipping: expedited air takes about 1–2 weeks; standard ocean freight takes 4–6 weeks. Total lead time from file submission to delivery is usually 6–10 weeks. We recommend adding buffer time for Chinese New Year and other holidays.
We typically require a 30% deposit to initiate production, with the 70% balance due before shipment. Our primary payment method is T/T bank transfer. For small trial orders or special cases, alternative arrangements may be discussed. All prices are quoted in USD.
If you have specific payment requirements, please let us know during the quoting stage and we will do our best to accommodate.
Every factory in our network is carefully vetted for quality standards, certifications, and production capabilities. We work with factories that already serve top-tier publishers and brands. We maintain long-term relationships with them, which means your project gets priority scheduling and consistent quality. Our team visits the factories regularly, checks samples against your specifications, and oversees production runs to ensure everything meets your standards.
If you’d like to visit the partner factory handling your project, we can arrange that. We also provide photo and video updates throughout production for clients who prefer remote oversight. Factory pickup is available upon request.
To provide an accurate quote, please share: book size, page count, binding type (board/hardcover/softcover/novelty), quantity, paper requirements, special finishes (foil, emboss, spot UV, die-cutting, etc.), and delivery destination. Please note that special finishes may require additional tooling fees and higher minimum order quantities. Quotes are typically returned within 48 hours. Complex projects may take slightly longer.
We cover a full range of children’s book formats: board books, hardcover, softcover, and novelty books including pop-up, lift-the-flap, sound books, touch-and-feel, sticker books, and wipe-clean activity books. Custom sizes, paper stocks, and finishing options are all available through our partner factories.
We prefer multi-page PDF files. We also accept AI, INDD, PSD, TIFF, and JPEG. Our prepress team reviews every file for print-readiness before production begins — including bleed, trim, resolution, and color mode. Minor file adjustments can be made for a small fee; we’ll always notify you before proceeding.
We stand behind the quality of every order and ensure it meets the specifications you approved. Our team inspects products before they leave the factory. If a production error on our end causes your order to fall outside the agreed specifications, we will arrange a reprint, replacement, or refund for the affected copies at no cost to you. Please note that errors in your supplied artwork (typos, low-resolution images, color choices, etc.) are not covered, as we reproduce your files faithfully.
Regarding quantity, due to the nature of the printing process, the final delivered quantity may vary slightly from the ordered quantity. We typically work within a tolerance of ±5%, but if you require a more exact quantity, please let us know during the quoting stage and we can discuss options.
Yes. We offer volume-based pricing for larger quantities and loyalty discounts for returning customers. The exact discount depends on the product type, order quantity, and production costs at the time of quoting. If you’re planning a series of titles or an ongoing publishing program, let us know during the quoting stage — we’ll be happy to discuss a customized pricing structure that works for both sides.
